This 13 night 14 day package gives you an exciting and interesting bird watching tour from the high Himalayan range of Phulchowki to the low lands of the Chitwan National Park. The tour includes trips to Phulchowki forest in the Himalayas near Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan National Park one of the finest national parks in Asia and the Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve, a birdwatcher’s paradise.

Day 1 :
Day One

Day Two

<p>6: 30 am- Breakfast at Hotel & Resort </p><p>7: 00 am- After breakfast we take a two hour drive towards the upper parts of the Phulchowki </p><p> hill forest. Lunch will be in the well preserved forest where it is possible to see </p><p> many birds including; Green and Black-eared shrike Babbler, Blue-winged Minla, </p><p> Hoary Barwing, Yellow-browed Tit, Cutia Eurasian Jay, Barred cuckoo Dove, </p><p> Striated and Cheastnut-crowned laughing Thrush, Cheastnut Thrush, Pink-browed </p><p> rose Finch, Several species of Flycatchers, Bush Robins, Warblers, Fulvettaes, </p><p> Minlaes, Redstarts, Rock Thrushes, Tree creepers, Yuhinas, Finches, Tits, Niltavas, </p><p> Bull Finches, Warblers, Flycatchers, Bush Robins, Bulbuls, Sunbirds and many more.</p><p>5: 30 pm- Refresh, tea and coffee at the hotel, trip evaluation </p><p></p><p>8: 00 pm- Dinner at the Hotel</p>

Day 3 :

<p>6: 30 am- Break fast at the Hotel </p><p>7: 00 am- One hour drive from the hotel takes us to the lower slopes of the Phulchowki hill forest and the botanical garden. All of this area is interesting for bird watching. The species include Kalij Pheasants, Common hill Partridge, Ashy wood Pigeon, Black Eagle, Spotted Forktail, Mountain scope Owl, Speckled Piculet, Red-belled Leiothrix , Grey-sided laughing Thrush, Grey-bellied Tesia, Striated Bulbul, Rufous-bellied Woodpecker, several species of Babblers, Tits, woodpeckers, Green pigeons, Piculets, Treecreepers, Flycatchers, Bulbuls Redstarts, Owls, Yuhinas, Barbets, Forktails. We will take the full day exploring the area where lunch will be taken.</p><p>5: 30 pm- Refresh at the Hotel, tea and coffee, trip evaluation </p><p>8: 00 pm- Dinner at the Hotel</p>

Day 4 :
Day Four

<p>7: 00 am- Breakfast at the Hotel </p><p>9: 00 am- Fly or Drive to Pokhara an enchanting town in this Himalayan valley. </p><p></p><p>1: 00 pm- Refresh and Lunch at the Hotel. Rest </p><p>3: 00 pm- Sight seeing and a short bird watching trip around the Few Lake area. </p><p>5: 30 pm- Refresh at the Hotel, tea and cofee, trip evaluation </p><p>8: 00 pm- Dinner at the Hotel</p>

Day 5 :
Day Five

<p>6: 30 am- Breakfast at the Hotel </p><p>7: 00 am- A full day trip including lunch to the Rani Ban, a well preserved Forest behind the Few Lakes. The birds to look for are the White-crested and Rufous chinned lesser necklaced laughing Thrush, Black-backed Forktail, White-tail Robin, Long-tailed Broadbill, Common green Magpie, Lesser racket tailed Drongo, White browed scimitar Babbler, Spiny Babbler, White tailed Robin, Rock Thrush, Chestnut headed Tesia, Grey bellied Tesia, Long tailed Broadbill and many species of Flycatchers, Warblers, Kingfishers, Buntings, Sunbirds, Vultures, Finches, Falcons, Harriers.</p><p>5: 00 pm- Refresh tea and coffee at the Hotel and trip evaluation </p><p>7: 00 pm- Dinner at the Hotel</p>

Day 6 :
Day Six

<p>6: 30 am- Breakfast at the Hotel </p><p>7: 30 am- Drive to the Chitwan National Park, the Land of the Rhino</p><p>1: 00 pm- Refresh Lunch and Rest at the Hotel</p><p>3: 00 pm- Visit the visitor information center and short bird watching trip.</p><p>5: 30 pm- Refresh, tea and coffee watching the beautiful sunset at the river bank.</p><p>6: 30 pm A slide presentation of the birds and wildlife in the Chitwan National Park.</p><p>8: 00 pm Dinner at the Hotel</p>

Day 7 :
Day Seven

<p>6: 30 am- Breakfast at the Hotel </p><p>7: 00 am- Starting with a peaceful one and a half hour dayout canoe ride; this is a great opportunity to see crocodiles and birds along the River course. At the landing point our hike will start inside the Chitwan National Park. There are three different types of habitat in the Park, Grasslands, Riverine forest and the moist deciduous forest, which grows along the water courses on the gravel banks. This Park is a well preserved National Conservation Area. The bird watching is fantastic, with the opportunity to see the Great and Pied Hornbill, the Greater Himalayan and Black rumped Flam back, the Small Scarlet Minivet, the Chestnut-bellied and velvet fronted Nuthatch, the Rose-ringed Alexandrine, the Red-breasted and Plum-headed Parakeet, the Chestnut-capped Striped tit, the Striated Slender-billed Babbler, the Jorden Babbler, the Lesser Adjutant Grey-crowned Prinia, the White-browed and White-throated Fantail, several Indian pea-Fowl species of Flycatchers, Bush and leaf Warblers, Eagles, Falcons and Quills. Along with the birds you will also see jungle mammals like Rhino, Deer, and Monkeys.</p><p>5: 30 pm Refresh at the Hotel with tea and coffee, sunset viewing at the river bank and trip evaluation.</p><p>7: 00 pm Dinner at the Hotel</p>

Day 8 :
Day Eight

<p>6: 30 am Breakfast at the Hotel </p><p>7: 00 am Drive to the Bishajari Tal by four-wheel drive. A four hour walk in this area bird watching for several species of forest and water birds such as Storks, Herons, Egrets, Magpies, Grey headed fish Eagles, Brown fish Owls, Greater Himalayan and Black rumped Flamback, Crested serpent Eagle and Woodpeckers, Flycatchers, Warblers, Parakeets and so on. The lake is surrounded by well preserved Sal forest, which is a very famous corridor forest of the Royal Chitawan National Park. The lake has been recently listed as RAMSAR site in the Wetland International Convention for its significant importance to the wildlife of Nepal.</p><p>12: 00 Noon Lunch at the Hotel and Rest. </p><p>2: 00 pm The afternoon begins with Elephant walk lasting for 1-1/2 hrs. The elephant driver will show you animals such as Rhino, Deer, Wild Boar and maybe even a Tiger. This trip will give you an unforgettable life time experience riding on one of the biggest animals on earth. </p><p>4: 00 pm Visit the Elephant breeding center to play with lovely baby elephants.</p><p>5: 30 pm- Refresh with tea and coffee at the Hotel and trip evaluation.</p><p>7: 30 pm- Dinner and dance at the Hotel. The dance will be performed by the malaria resistant indigenous THARU people, who are the largest ethnic group of the Chitwan valley. This evening’s entertainment is very interesting and great fun; please don’t hesitate to join in with them when they invite you to dance.</p>

Day 9 :
Day Nine

<p>6: 30 am- Breakfast at the Hotel </p><p>8: 00 am- Drive to Kosi Tappu Wildlife Reserve, the largest Ramsar Site of Nepal and a bird watchers paradise. Located 350 km to the east of Chitwan you will have 7 hours to explore in this sub-tropical Terai low land of Nepal.</p><p>1: 00 pm- Lunch will be on the way to the Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve. </p><p>4: 00 pm- Refresh with tea and coffee at the Tented Camp Rest. </p><p>5: 00 pm- Bird watching around the Tented Camp. </p><p></p><p></p><p>7: 00 pm Dinner at the Tented Camp</p>

Day 10 :
Day Ten

<p>6: 30 am- Breakfast at the Tented Camp. </p><p>7: 00 am- Drive to Koshi Barrage for a full day trip. The Barrage is a staging point for migrant birds and is of international importance for migrating wildfowl and waders. The Barrage holds rich varieties of marshland birds as well as grassland and scrub. The area is also famous for several species of Eagles, Falcons, Owls and Harriers, bush warblers, Bengle florican, Indian Cursor, Hodson's bush Chat, Graceful Prinia. From the barrage western and eastern embankments we may see flocks of wildfowl, little Pratincole, Indian Skimmer, Waders, various species of Gulls and Terns, Snips, Ducks Jacanas and many more. Lunch will be at the hot spot.</p><p>5: 30 pm- Refresh with tea and coffee at the Tented Camp and trip evaluation. </p><p>7: 00 pm- Dinner at the Tented Camp.</p>

Day 11 :
Day Eleven

<p>6: 30 am- Breakfast at the Tented Camp </p><p>7: 00 am- A full day hiking on the high embankment, which forms the eastern boundary of the Reserve. The embankment is mainly covered by Grassland, Marshes, Scrub and degraded riverine forest. The species most likely to be seen are Yellow-Legged button Quill, Swamp Francolin, Striated grass Bird, Water Cock, Brown hawk Owl, Palla's fish Eagle, Pallied, Marsh Pied and Montague's Harriers, Rufous-bellied Eagle, Indian grey Hornbill, White tailed stone Chat, Yellow bellied Prinia, Black throated Weaver, Red Avadavat, Black faced Bunting and Varies species of Storks, Ibis, Terns, Vultures, Ducks, Owls, Babblers.</p><p>5: 30 pm- Refreshment with tea and coffee at the Tented Camp and trip evaluation. </p><p>7: 00 pm- Dinner at the Tented Camp.</p>

Day 12 :
Day Twelve

<p>6: 30 am- Breakfast at the Tented Camp. </p><p></p><p>7: 00 am- Short bird watching around the Tented Camp. </p><p>9: 00 am- Drive to the Biratnagar a local airport which takes an hour by bus. Then we take a thirty minute flight to Kathmandu.</p><p>12: 30 pm-Refresh lunch at the Hotel </p><p>2: 30 pm- Sight seeing to some of the world heritage sites around the Kathmandu valley. </p><p></p><p>8: 30 pm- Dinner at the Hotel.</p>

<p>8: 00 am- Breakfast, leisure time and shopping on your own. </p><p>1: 00 pm- Lunch break </p><p>7: 00 pm- Dinner with special Nepali culture program, Overall trip evaluation.</p>
