This 13 night 14 day bird watching tour offers you a great opportunity to see some high altitude and tropical lowland species of birds. The trek will be in the Ghorepani Poon hill area of the Annapurna region, this trek offers some superb views of the Himalaya which never fail to amaze. As well as trekking there will be a visit to the Chitwan National Park, the park is renowned as a birdwatchers paradise as well as being famous for its protection of the Bengal tiger and the greater one-horned Rhino.

<p>6: 30 am- Breakfast </p><p>7: 00 am- Drive to Nayapul and the start point of the trek, the trail begins with by climbing up through rhododendron and oak forests to Ulleri via the towns of Birethanti at 1073m and Tikhedhunga at 1575m. <p>6: 30 am- Breakfast </p><p>7: 00 am- Morning trek up to Poon hill at an elevation of 3400m, it is a famous viewing point and offers panorama of many of the Himalayan peaks in the Annapurna region. From Poon Hill the trail descends into Tadapani at 2650m, along the trail some of the many birds that can be seen include Common hill Partridge, Koklas and Kalij Pheasant, Collard Owlet, Ashy-Wood Pigeon, Black Throated Parrot Bill, Red Headed Bullfinch.</p><p>1: 00 pm- Lunch break </p><p>5: 30 pm- Overnight at a lodge in Tadapani </p><p>6: 30 pm- Dinner at lodge </p>
<p>6: 30 am- Breakfast </p><p>7: 00 am- The trail continues with a slow walk down through thin oak and short bamboo forests to the town of Ghandruk where we will spend the last night of the trek. <p>6: 30 am- Breakfast</p><p>7: 00 am- Back to Pokhara, the last days trek begins with a climb down through a variety of forests, including the sub-tropical, birds that can be spotted include Crested Kingfisher, Little and Slaty-Backed Fork Tails, Flycatchers, Warblers and Thrushes. <p>6: 30 am- Breakfast</p><p>7: 00 am- Full day's bird watching inside the Chitwan National Park, exploring different types of habitat including grassland and riverine forest this area is fantastic for birds, some of the species likely to be seen include Greater Himalayan and Black Rump Flame Back, Scarlet and Small Minivet, Chestnut Bellied and Velvet Fronted Nuthatch, Rose-Ring, Red Breasted and Plum-Headed Parakeet as well as Great Pied Hornbill, Jordon' s Babbler and Slender Billed Babbler. This is a great trip with the opportunity to see a wide variety of birds like Wood Peckers, Parakeets, Pigeons, Cuckoo Shrikes, Magpies, Babblers, Prinias, Storks, Flycatchers, Eagles, Warblers and Starlings as well as the possibility of seeing the large mammals mentioned above. Some of the species that can be seen include several species of water birds such as Storks, Herons and Egrets, as well as the forest species such as Magpies, Grey Headed Fish Eagles, Brown Fish Owls, Greater Himalayan and Black rumped Flamback, Crested Serpent Eagle, Woodpeckers, Flycatchers, Warblers and Parakeets.
